My journey in cricket began on the county pathway, representing Worcestershire at junior level from Under 10’s through to Under 17’s. Those early years shaped not only my technical understanding of the game, but also my appreciation for the game I love. Today, I remain an active club cricketer, still very much connected to the challenges and excitement of the game at grassroots level.
Alongside playing, my coaching and officiating career has developed into a central part of my professional identity. I hold a UKCC advanced cricket coach qualification and I am a Level 2 umpire, currently working and M6/W6 along the pathway.
I am fortunate to contribute to cricket and athlete development in a number of wider roles. As a Coach Developer for ECB Cricket, working specifically with Foundation and Core course on the ECB coaching pathway, I support the growth and progression of coaches across the game, helping to raise standards and encourage reflective, player-centred practice. I also qualified as an ECB Umpire Tutor, I focus on developing the next generation of officials, starting them on the pathway to upholding the values of our great game and watching the game from the best seat in the house!
Beyond the cricket field, I work as a TASS Lifestyle Advisor across multiple sporting environments, supporting young athletes in balancing the demands of education, performance, and personal wellbeing. This holistic approach to development also carries through into my academic role as a lecturer in sports and coaching at the University of Worcester, specifically working on our unique integrated masters in Cricket Coaching and Management, where I have the opportunity to support students throughout their learning journey, helping them achieve their goals within the game and the sport industry.
Across all of these roles, my focus remains consistent: to support individuals in reaching their potential, whether that is as players, coaches, officials, or students. Cricket has given me a lifelong platform to learn, share, and contribute—and I continue to value every opportunity to give something back to the game.
